one beet and two old tops I started my experiment.

I sink the 2 tops in a bucket with vinegar and water 1:4 for one hour. the same time I chopped the beet and boiled it in a pot.

After one hour I took the tops out rinsed in water and soaked with the beet juice. I let them stay over night. 

unfortunately the color doesn't stay stable maybe because the material is not 100% cotton. and the color faded away after rinse in water again.

I decided to let the color stay for one time so I let it dry without rinse in water. and it bored me with the plain look so I add some lace to top of it. Pin the lace all alone the shoulder side and down to the side seam. saw it by hand. 

not perfect but feel good about the experiment.
